The design process involved extensive research into the settings and themes of each story, ensuring every illustration authentically reflects Holmes’ universe. Moody color palettes mirror the suspense and intellect of the great detective’s adventures, while symbolic elements—like pipes, magnifying glasses, skulls, and murder weapons—hint at the storylines and invite speculation.
